STVM Celebrates 56 AP Scholars and Two Students who Earned National Merit Commended Honors and National College Board Recognition

St. Vincent-St. Mary High School proudly announces that 56 students earned AP Scholar awards from the College Board for their outstanding scores on the college-level Advanced Placement exams taken in May of 2024. This group of remarkable students and their parents were invited to an Awards Breakfast on Oct. 1, 2024, followed by a presentation of the awards in front of the entire school body. Also at the assembly, Toma Haghiac VM25 and Ariana Monesky-Jones VM26 were honored for earning prestigious national awards. Congratulations to all of these outstanding students!

National Merit Commended Scholar:
Toma Haghiac VM25 was named a National Merit Commended Scholar for scoring in the top 3-4 percent among the approximately 1.3 million students nationwide who took the PSAT in 2023.  

National African American Recognition Program:
Ariana Monesky-Jones VM26 was selected for the National African American Recognition Program by the College Board. This is an academic honor for academically exceptional African American students who have scored in the top 10 percent of the state on the PSAT or earned a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams by their junior year.
