Human Resources Internship

St. Vincent-St. Mary High School (STVM) is a co-educational, Marianist Catholic school located in Akron, OH. STVM seeks a mission-driven, professional student intern interested in the Human Resources field.

Position Summary: This position supports the STVM Director of Human Resources. The Human Resources Intern is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources with the day-to-day Human Resource activities.

This internship position requires maintaining confidentiality.

Duties and Responsibilities may include assisting with any of the following:

• New employee onboarding, and orientation, and compliance.
• Ohio New Hire Reporting
• Assist with benefits enrollment management.
• HRIS maintenance
• Compliance audits
• Research
• Drafting policy and procedure updates.
• File maintenance
• Other duties as arise

The preferred candidate must be a student in a Bachelor or Graduate business program with a passion for investigation, problem solving and learning. Essential soft skills include listening, diligence, compassion, patience, and persistence.
