Director of Alumni Relations

Primary Purpose: The Director of Alumni Relations will work directly with the Director of Advancement. This person will have direct responsibility for all alumni relations and support for all constituents of the St. Vincent-St. Mary High School community. In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for coordinating events, including fundraising objectives, meetings, banquets, presentations and award dinners. The role must anticipate careful planning, project needs, discern work priorities, and meeting deadlines.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Member of the Advancement Team who works directly with all key constituents of the STVM Community, including administration, office staff, faculty, students, and the Executive Board.
  • Primary contact with the Alumni Board of Directors, facilitating alumni meetings and events.
  • Coordinates and implements the alumni magazine.
  • Coordinates and implements the alumni reunion weekend. Identify class ambassadors to help grow alumni base of financial support.
  • Coordinate details and meet financial goals for Showcase and other STVM fundraising events.
  • Provide primary support for Showcase, including assembling committees and managing volunteers.
  • Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Edit and structure marketing campaign for all events.
  • Identify calendar timeline for events and implement to meet deadlines.
  • Engaging and growing donor relationships to increase donors financial support.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communications skills, including writing, proof reading, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience with fund raising events.
  • Proven record of meeting and exceeding fundraising goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments.
  • Ability to accomplish projects successfully with minimal supervision.
  • Stewardship of donor relationship.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office package, access, mail merge, and email.
  • Ability to perform web searches.
Physical Demands
  • 6-8 hours of sitting and standing daily
  • Lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Travel Required: Less than 10% and typically limited to 75 miles in a day.
